Our new topic this term is Victorians which we call Upstairs Downstairs. At the end of term we will be doing a village and all year 3/4 will be playing characters. Upstairs Downstairs means that the servants lived downstairs and the rich people lived upstairs. If I lived in Victorian times I would be a rich person. All of year 3/4 is going on a school trip to Saltaire, it is a Victorian town.I hope you enoyjed our blog.
For spring term Mrs Ball’s class made a TV program for the GREEN SCHOOL AWARDS. It was about recycling and the polllution and it told us about global warming. Our topic was ACT LOCAL, THINK GLOBAL OR THINK GLOBAL, ACT LOCAL. We had presenters and reusing models and loads more!Other classes did entries as well .Mrs Finney did a pod cast,Mrs Douglas did a movie and powerpoint and MissG (MISS GRAND SCRUTTON) did a powerpoint about changing the playground. We did it all on the apple macs. It was fun I hope we win. By Scott.
Mrs Balls class love to go green and we would like you to go green aswell. This is how you could go green. You could turn a plastic bottle into a toy car, also you turn a rubber in to a wheel. All sorts of sfuff could be on a car. Why don’t you try some experiments with things you might think are recycled, things like coat hangers also a toy car could be part of a toy plane. We need more people to go green so we can help the planet!

Mrs ball’s class at Fosse Way School has decided to act local and think global, and you should too. We decided to recycle by putting our paper in the recycle bin. Ellena, Jessica and Abigail are doing the compost bins every day to save the enviroment. We would like you to be the same as us in a way of being ECO FRIENDLY !!!! We hope you put this on your new years resolution.

This week we have watched the year five six peformance it was called Christmas Blitz. All year three and four are very grateful tothe Y five and six children for inviting us to the performence, it was excellent. It was quite sad because the house got bombed. We learned a bit about world war two. The cast and crew were very good and all the singers were fantastic too . I think we all liked the bit when Tianna said they bombed the chip shops that was really funny. I think over all they all did a brilliant job and every one enjoyed it thank you.

These weeks we have been reheasing our school play. The plays five main characters are Bessie, Cecil, Chuck also Mary and Joesph. We have worked very hard it has been hard these weeks but we finally got through it. We want to say a massive thankyou to the people who make this happen every year and all the people who made the costumes. We will name some of the characters , Star all the angles, all the narators and everyone else. We praticed loads and loads of times to make it perfect and it was worth it. Thankyou for your help we really appreciete it.

On Tuseday 27th November the year 2 children came to every class in year 3 and 4 to look at our living museum. We did some question sheets and we did one of Shakespeares plays called the midsummers night’s dream. We had a wonderful time and we had a slide show on the smart board with lots of answers for them to write down. They wachted a Tudor dance and played Nines Mens Morris and they had a really good time. We even received some thankyou letters from year 2.

In Mrs Balls class some people have been doing the play of The Midsummer Night’s Dream. Ellena, Abigail, Maddy and Rebecca were playing the act of one of Titania’s fairy servents their names are Mustardseed, Cobweb, Peaseblossem and Moth.Amelia is Titania the fairy queen. Alex is the fairy king Oberon. William is Puck, Logan is Bottom, Joseph is Quince and Lewis W is Snout. We have been working on the play really hard. Unfortantly some poeple only had to say the word “Hail” This play is really funny and there is some hard words in it. We are really looking forward to doing it in front of the Y2.
